FROM A VISION TO A SUCCESS STORY

Since its foundation in 1985, RVM has pursued a clear vision: customer focus, innovation and personal proximity. Today, 40 years later, we are one of the leading industrial insurance brokers in Germany – thanks to a strong team, long-term partnerships and the determination to keep improving.

ROOTS IN REUTLINGEN - AN EYE ON THE FUTURE

What began as a regional brokerage office has grown into a strong partner in the industrial insurance sector – both nationally and internationally. By moving back to our original location in Reutlingen in 2026, we are underlining our ties to the region. The merger with the MLP Group has further strengthened our growth and expertise – without us losing our medium-sized character…

From a vision to a success story

Even when Rainer Schiefelbein founded RVM in 1985 and had the company entered in the commercial register of the city of Reutlingen, one thing was clear from the outset: the customer takes centre stage. Our aim was and is to offer customised insurance solutions that are not only reliable, but also precisely tailored to the needs of our customers. What began as a regionally rooted brokerage office – at that time still under the name “Reutlinger Versicherungsmakler” – has developed over the decades into one of the leading industrial insurance brokers in Germany.

This success was by no means a matter of course. It was made possible by hard work, foresight, the tireless commitment of our employees and, ultimately, the resulting trust of our customers. Today, around 370 employees are part of the RVM family – a highly qualified and committed team that works with passion and expertise to serve the needs of our customers, both nationally and internationally.

Reutlingen as a home and future location

Even though our company has now been based in Eningen for many years, our roots are firmly anchored in Reutlingen. That is why we are returning to our home base in 2026 – with a modern company headquarters that not only offers space for further growth, but also emphasises our clear commitment to the location and the region. The ground-breaking ceremony for the new building took place in 2024 and we celebrated the topping-out ceremony on 20 March 2025. The move is planned for early 2026 – an important milestone.

Success through trust and innovation

What has driven us since 1985 is the trust of our customers. It is the basis of our work and the key to our suc-cess. As a medium-sized company, we understand the complex challenges of our customers and develop inno-vative solutions that offer real added value. Whether technological developments, globalisation and internatio-nal markets, regulatory changes or highly competitive insurance markets – RVM was, is and will remain more than ever a strong and reliable partner in all matters relating to occupational insurance, pensions and benefits.

Another milestone was the merger with MLP in 2021. As part of a financially strong and long-term orientated group of companies, we have since offered our clients a unique network of experts with holistic solutions for companies, their employees and for the personal protection of the entrepreneurs themselves. At the same ti-me, RVM will be further strengthened as an independent brand within the strong group of companies and will also be visible nationwide in the future – with an unchanged medium-sized character, personal proximity and a clear client focus as a competence centre for industrial insurance.

Gratitude and future prospects

40 years of RVM stands for 40 years of partnership, valuable experience and continuous development. How-ever, we are not just looking back, but above all looking forward. With enthusiasm, drive and the determination to continue setting standards in our industry.

Our heartfelt thanks go to our customers, employees and partners. They have made RVM what it is today. We look forward to the next 40 years – and beyond.

40 years of RVM - internal anniversary celebration in a relaxed atmosphere

On Thursday, May 15, 2025, we celebrated our 40th company anniversary together at a small “Hockete”. Our employees came together in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere to look back on our time together over good food, lively conversation and anecdotes from four decades.

A special highlight was the presentation by Michael Friebe, who reviewed the milestones in RVM’s history and at the same time gave an exciting outlook on future developments. With barbecued food, fresh salads and delicious snacks, the physical well-being was not neglected either.

It was an all-round successful evening – personal, connecting and typical RVM.
