Cybercriminals are currently actively exploiting critical vulnerabilities in WordPress worldwide. Numerous unpatched WordPress installations are affected—the attacks occur without valid login credentials and, in the worst case, can lead to a website being completely taken over.
The German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has classified the vulnerability as Criticality Level 3 and recommends immediately updating affected systems.
